Sydney Newborn Baby Photographer

This precious baby girl was 13 days new when I met her and her beautiful mum and family. It was lovely to meet and shoot this little lady’s newborn photos. She is such a doll! Mum and dad, you must be so proud!

Every moment with baby is worth a thousand words, so it is important to capture every beautiful, sweet moment you can!

Sydney Newborn Baby PhotographerLena Postnova

The main reason why newborn photographers prefer to photograph a newborn in the first 2 weeks is because babies are very sleepy and easy to move around. When they get a little bit older, even from 2-3 weeks, they are still newborn babies, but they are more awake, more stronger and they are more difficult to get into the curly positions that mums often want for their newborn sessions. This is why we prefer to have the newborn sessions done as soon as possible after birth, so that we can achieve those cute sleepy poses that our clients want. Basically, the older babies get, the less likely it is we will get those posed shots, but if you go for a later shoot you will instead get wide open eyes, maybe even some smiles. You can consider a life style photographer for your older baby. It’s just important to differentiate between a posed newborn shoot and a documentary life style shoot, because they are two different things.
