Newborn photography of older baby can be a bit more challenging compared to photographing a 2-week-old, but it’s definitely still possible to capture beautiful images. This adorable little boy was just about to celebrate his 1-month birthday on the day of the session. At this age, babies are more alert and expressive, which adds a different dynamic to the photos. While they might not be as sleepy as younger newborns, their curious eyes and emerging personality make for equally precious and memorable images.

You may have heard that the best time to have photos taken of your baby is within the first two weeks after your baby is born. The advantage of photographing new babies when they are very young is that once they are in a deep sleep, they usually stay there. If you dream of precious photos of your sweet one sleeping and all curled up in a basket, then the earlier the better. Typically it is a good idea to schedule the session to take place a week after your expected due date. However, I always do my best working with a bit older babies and capture your baby in gorgeous pictures. In this blog post, you can see an example of an older baby’s photography session. This little boy was settled and slept nicely for his photos, he was a delight to photograph. The older they get the more uncurled and taking up more space they become, but they are still very little at one-month-old and this is such a precious time to be captured. They grow so fast! This little baby boy is so adorable! He gave me a few beautiful little smiles during the session.
