Newborn photos in the comfort of your home – Sydney’s Northern Beaches and surrounding suburbs.

Today, I would like to write a few words about at home newborn photography sessions that I offer in Sydney.

I’m Lena, I am a newborn photographer here on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. I travel to my client’s home’s to photograph their new born babies. I work on the Northern Beaches and nearby area of Sydney.

I am a mum myself and I have been working with newborns since 2013.

Capturing your baby’s first days is one of my most favorite parts of being a photographer. Babies truly change before your eyes.

When I enter your home for your baby’s photo shoot we determine which room is the most suitable. If the family has decided to have posed newborn photography I normally set up my studio lightning, backdrops and other gear in the living room. Common places for natural style newborn photos are master bedroom and nursery.

I typically start photo shoot with family and sibling photos first before moving on to portraits of baby on their own.

Newborn photo shoots take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours. The time varies depends on the amount of feeding, nappy changes and cuddles the baby needs. Sometimes babies are sleepy and settled, sometimes we need lots of patience. The sessions are never rushed and I recommend not to have any other appointments on the session day when possible.

These first couple of weeks with your baby will go by in the blink of sleep-deprived eye. Days are long but the years are short. Having photos to hold onto those precious moments is priceless.
