Baby newborn photography session of a 7 days old baby boy.
This little boy was 7 days old when he had his baby newborn photography session. I had an amazing time photographing him, his adorable older brother and lovely parents. I had a nice chat with the mum during the baby photo shoot and she was happy to share a little bit about her family and new born baby for my blog. Here it is what she said:
I enjoy watching my kids develop into little individuals with their own personalities and quirks; those fun activities we do together make me connect with the inner child within me. Having children made me discover the unconditional love I didn’t know existed in me, never thought I would feel this way, but it has been the most rewarding experience in my life.
It was early in the morning when I went into labour. I was asleep when the slight pain woke me. With my first baby I had a rapid birth, rushed into the hospital in the middle of the night and the baby was out within an hour after we got there. It was totally unexpected, I thought I would have much longer labor based on my age and what I have heard from other’s experiences. It was a shock and there was no time to prepare myself for the birth and pain, but I felt very lucky to have such a quick birth without complications. With my second child, my obstetrician told us it would be similar to the first since it was so rapid the first time, he would not expect it to be any quicker. It ended up pretty much the same as the first except we were more prepared this time around.
We named our baby Ashton. We liked the short name Ash, like the mountain ash trees in Victoria. You can use either Ashley or Ashton as the long name, we chose Ashton as it sounds more boyish to us. Jake for our first boy and we also shortlisted Liam and Finn. For girls, we like the name Zoey.
Children grow up too quickly, the newborn stage in particular passes in a flash. Baby newborn photography helps to capture those newborn expressions and moments in a beautiful way. It is priceless to me. We can always look back at the photos for great memories.
I would like to say a huge Thank you to Mum for sharing her story with us. It is so lovely to have a chance to know a little bit more about the families I meet for the sessions.
