This little baby girl was 6 months old when I saw her for the second time. When they come back to have baby photos done, it is amazing to get to see how my little newborn clients have grown. Baby photography sessions are so much fun. This is a completely different session if you compare it with a new born photo shoot. We don’t want your baby to sleep for photos, we want their happy faces and adorable smiles.

At the age of 6 months baby start to learn how to sit independently, this is a great milestone to capture. Babies are still little and not crawling too fast, so we have they attention for longer time and are able to get the variety of nice photographs.

Although I recommend these older baby sessions to be for baby photos only, sometimes I try to capture a mum with the baby portrait. The reason I try to focus on baby pics is that babies get tired in the new environment and around new people very quickly. Some babies last 5-10 minutes before they become overstimulated. It is best to concentrate on getting a few setups (outfit changes) of the baby to capture their gorgeous details. It would be ideal to have a separate photo shoot organised for your updated family with the baby photos.
