Milestone Baby photography is one of my specialties. These short and fun sessions are sometimes my favorite!

Bellow you can see a few images of a gorgeous little girl. She was 6 months old when I captured these photos. Babies are very interactive at this age and are full of genuine expressions.

Sitter Sessions mark the milestone of your baby being able to sit independently. Typically this happens at around 6-8 months, though for some babies this may be a while later. Sitter Sessions involve a selection of photographs: some sitting, some lying, some close-up portraits. Typically photographers will offer several setups ready for the shoot. Your baby can wear a few different outfits to give you a variety of images in your gallery. These sessions are normally last no longer than 30-60 minutes, but this allows plenty of time to change outfits and set ups. Longer sessions don’t work at this age as little babies get overstimulated very quickly. Your baby’s session would be fun and relaxed, with breaks being taken if your baby needs a few minutes to play or have a milk.

Milestone baby photography focuses on the new things your baby can do. Tummy time, sitting, pulling up, crawling, clapping, and more. I usually like to wait until baby is sitting (6+months), but I also do get requests for early “tummy time” months, and they are adorable too. Although I think that parents should take millions of photos and videos on their phone cameras at all times to remember this amazing times, I believe that some professional photos should be essential in the first baby’s year.
