Newborn photo shoot of 13 days old baby.

This baby was about two weeks on the day I met him for his newborn photo shoot. This is a perfect timing. Babies under 10-14 days of age tend to sleep better while I pose them and curl up womb-like rather than stretching out their limbs. This means I can get the good variety and adorable poses while they just snooze away. Of course I am also an expert at working with “older” and alert or awake babies for photography sessions too.

Take a look at this gorgeous little boy with the most awesome head of hair! He loved to sleep, which is great for newborn sessions. Beautiful, sweet, squishy boy.

 

This newborn photo shoot was a perfect mix of natural style portraits and posed set ups. I love being able to capture for families a good portrait of their baby looking at the camera. This is one of the most precious images… You may choose to print a cute sleepy one for your walls, but you will go back to that “baby glancing at you” photo many many times as your little one grows.  It is not always easy to get this awake shot, but I am happy to take my time and do my best to achieve it.  During the session I’ve also captured a variety of mum with the baby, dad with the baby and both parents with their baby portraits.
