Behind the scenes photos from the photo shoot

In this blog post I would like to share a couple of newborn photography backstage images of one of my past photo shoots. Many thanks to one talented mum for capturing those behind the scene photos for me. Honestly I don’t have many of back stage photos of me, and it is always interesting to take a brief glimpse behind the scenes of a photography session.

There’s a lot of patting, a lot of rocking and shushing during the shoot. We need babies to be asleep for the session as this allows us to position them into sweet womb-like poses. My clients call me the baby whisperer ans always comment on my patience. I am very calm and patient person and newborn photography suits me very well. I love what I do and I am able to wait for a good moment to get that beautiful photo of your precious little one.  With time I have learned you can not rush these tiny human beings, moving too soon could mean a big startle, and having to start the waiting game over again. Also having my own son helped me a lot to understand more about newborn’s sleeping and about babies’ daily rhythms and patterns.

 

I am always honoured when a family chooses me to capture their newborn photographs. This is such important moment in life. Ensuring the safety and comfort of you and your new baby is also a responsibility I take very seriously.
