Newborn Photoshoot Sydney

Newborn Photography for one week old baby.

This gorgeous little girl was just 1 week new at the day of her Newborn Photoshoot Sydney. Her beautiful Mum shares a little bit about her first days with the baby with us:

“When I was 7 weeks pregnant we bought her first bodysuit with little tag “perfect girl”. Now she is two weeks old and she no longer fit that bodysuit.
Babies grow so fast and I would like to keep this memory forever. I would like my daughter to have that memory when she grows older. Photos that are done professionally is the best first memory and experience with newborn.

Anastasia was always my favorite name since I was 10 years old. My husband and I agreed that I will get to name a baby girl and he gets to name a baby boy.
I could not wait to find out the gender. I was 11 weeks pregnant and undertook a genetic test which reveals the gender as well. My parents, my work colleges, my husband are all though I am having a boy. But I always felt it’s a girl. Knowing the gender helped me to arrange the nursery and to buy baby cloth.
When I saw my baby at the first time I though: Why is she not looking like me ? She was an absolute copy of my husband. After two weeks she has started to change though…

Being pregnant is phenomenal. The body transformation surprised me the most. I could not believe how skin could possibly stretch out and how all the organs can adjust to fit a precious cargo.
I was 40+3 days pregnant when I went into labour. It was a Saturday morning and as usual me and my husband went for a shopping. There was only one item left on my list for the hospital bag – maternity bra… I bought it and here you go…
We started cooking Russian pelmeni for lunch when I started feeling some cramps. I was really excited and started measuring contractions straight away. We had to freeze pelmeni, which saved us a lot of time cooking after coming back home from hospital with a newborn.

Birth… I can’t say it was better or worse than I had anticipated. It was not even close to what I think it would be. It was a strong huge pain that you can cope with without tears.

My midwife kept saying that my baby was average and I should have an easy birth. Instead, I had 24 hours labour. The baby was very big (4 kg). I had used every pain relief that was available at the hospital. After pushing for 2 hours there was no progress as the baby got stuck . The doctor had to use forceps for delivery. I was really scared that it would hurt my baby girl. However, all hospital staff was very professional, supportive and did an absolute amazing job.

At 12:43 pm my baby girl was delivered and I could not be any happier. Being a mother is the most rewarding job in the world.

My first few days as a mum… It was incredible to look into her eyes. I could not stop holding and kissing her. It was not easy as it was all new for me. The baby was very unsettled and we have to carry her around all the time. But it’s definitely unconditional love from the moment she was born.
