A baby photoshoot at 6 months is a great way to capture your child after their newborn photos but before their first birthday. Well, these sessions usually take place around 6 to 9 months, as soon as babies can sit up on their own. Your little one might be sitting up, and possibly crawling, but they are not quite as mobile as they will be at their one-year session. Once they are on the move, be it crawling or walking, things get more challenging!

Here is a recent session I did with the most adorable baby boy. 6 months old and such a gorgeous baby.

The photoshoot is totally baby led but normally lasts around 40-60 minutes as they do get bored and tired if you leave them sitting around for too long. We do lots of singing and toys to make sure we capture those smiles!

The baby portraits are timeless and classic so they can be displayed on your walls for many years to come. Your eyes will never get tired to see a picture of your child as a baby. It is also amazing to see what a boost of confidence comes to the child whose parents display photos of them around the home. It makes kids understand that you find them to be beautiful, and want to see them each day.

Sitter sessions are perfect ways to capture your baby and all of their adorable little features and expressions whilst they are still small. But what happens if you have missed that 6-9 months old perfect window for photoshoot baby? There’s no wrong time to take portraits of your little one. They’re only that little once.
