Over the last decade I have photographed hundreds of newborn babies. Out of curiosity, I’ve decided to find out what were the most popular Sydney baby names? I have a list of all babies that I have photographed over the last few years. So what were the top baby name choices so far?
The most popular baby girl names were Sophia, Ella, Olivia. The top baby boy names were Leo, Oliver, Harry. If you google lists of the top baby names in Australia, those beautiful timeless names are always trending. Popular just means well-liked.

Choosing the perfect baby name can feel all at once thrilling and intimidating.
When it comes to choosing a baby name, it’s a difficult decision. Do you go for something classic or something unique? Do you feel more comfortable with familiar classics names? Is uniqueness important to you? And why?
When I was expecting my baby, we found we were going to have a boy. We had decided to name him Evan. We have chosen a classic name that is easy to pronounce. It was not on the top of the charts, but everyone knows the name and I always never get asked how to spell it.
There’s no right or wrong way to pick a beautiful name for your little one. The most important consideration is to choose the one you love!
